Product Information
Are your riding hats and body protectors safety certified?
Yes, all our products meet the latest UK and international safety standards, including BSI Kitemark, SEI, ASTM, and more where applicable. Each product listing details the relevant certifications so you can ride with confidence.
How often should I replace my riding helmet or body protector?
Helmets should be replaced every 3–5 years, or sooner if involved in a fall. Body protectors should be checked annually and replaced every 3–5 years, or as soon as they show signs of wear.
What's the difference between a body protector and an air jacket?
Body protectors are foam-based and provide passive protection, while air jackets are triggered by a lanyard or sensor and inflate instantly on impact. Many riders choose to wear both for maximum safety.
How do air jackets work? Do I need anything else to use them?
Air jackets use a CO2 canister and are often lanyard-activated. This means that as you leave the security of the saddle, the lanyard will pull the trigger and activate the inflation within the Air Jacket. You’ll need to ensure it’s compatible with your saddle and purchase replacement canisters as needed. We stock canisters and accessories on our site.
Product Care
How do I clean my riding hat or body protector?
Use a soft cloth with mild soap and water. Never machine wash or fully submerge. Always follow the care instructions provided with your product. Note, some hats come with liners, and some liners are machine washable. Please see the product listing for appropriate care details.
Can I wash my riding gloves?
Most gloves are machine washable on a gentle cycle, but check the label. Leather gloves should be cleaned with appropriate leather care products.
